Description:
Human Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Protein-6 (IGFBP-6) is a 216 amino acid glycosylated protein that is one of the six “classical” IGF binding proteins that play an important role in stabilizing and regulating the activity of IGFs in vivo. Human IGFBP-6 binds IGF-II with a 20-70 fold higher affinity than IGF-I.
The major glycosylated species in the product contains 216 amino acids, but a minor isoform with a 2 amino acid N-terminal extension is produced as a result of alternative processing by the CHO cells used for the rhIGFBP-6 production.
