Description:
Mono-biotinyl- and di-biotinyl- human Insulin-like Growth Factor-II (mono-biotinyl-human-IGF-II and di-biotinyl-human-IGF-II) are made by reacting hIGF-II with Sulfo-NHS-Biotin reagent. In mono-biotinyl-human-IGF-II, the a-amino group of the N-terminal alanine is biotinylated. In di-biotinyl-human-IGF-II both the a-amino group of the N-terminal alanine and the e-amino group of the lysine at position 65 are biotinylated.

Source:
Following the reaction of hIGF-II with Sulfo-NHS-Biotin reagent , the mono- and di-biotinyl-human-IGF-II are separated from the other reaction products by HPLC. The mono-biotinyl-human-IGF-II and the di-biotinyl-human-IGF-II peaks are then further purified by HPLC to yield Receptor Grade products.
