#3404 Procedure for Enzyme Immunoassay (EIA) of Rat Growth Hormone

Biotechnology Reagents (IGFs) >> Product Support >> Protocols >> #3404 Procedure for Enzyme Immunoassay (EIA) of Rat Growth Hormone

For a detailed procedure on how to perform an EIA see Protocol #3020 General Procedure for Microplate Enzyme Immunoassay (EIA)

For rat growth hormone EIA, use Novozymes GroPep's antibody PAAC1 (100 µg IgG).

Reconstitute the vial in 500 µl sterile distilled or Milli-Q water (200 µg/ml). Allow to stand at room temperature for at least 10 minutes before use.

After reconstitution, a dilution of 1/500 (0.4 µg/ml) will give an absorbance of 1.0 - 1.5 at 490 nm when reacted in an EIA plate coated with 100 ng / well of rat growth hormone, a 1/2,000 dilution of HRP-labelled anti-mouse IgG (DAKO PO447) and a 1 mg/ml OPD substrate solution.

ED50 for this assay is ~6.5 ng rat growth hormone per well.
